PUBG developers admitted that they block more than 100 thousand cheaters per week

The PUBG community manager said that more than 100 thousand accounts are blocked weekly in the “Royal Battle”. In an open letter from the developer on reddit, he also explained why the company is actively fighting fraudsters.

Hawkinz, PUBG Community Manager:

“We often block more than 100 thousand accounts per week. From December 8 to 14, we forever blocked exactly 116 531 accounts. Are we blocking any accounts in hardware? Yes, we also use HWID blocking, but, unfortunately, in many cases we cannot ban by HWID.

Some players think that it’s a kind of trick on our part to not ban HWID accounts so that scammers buy new accounts and we earn more money. I can assure you that this is not so. I understand why some players can come to this conclusion, but if you think about it, it’s illogical, and we don’t. Let me explain: for every cheater there are 99 more injured players. We have a long-term plan for PUBG, at the moment we have more than 500 employees around the world (closer to the mark of 1,000 than 500), and we are going to support this game for many years. One of the most important aspects of the long-term success of PUBG is the happy users who linger in the game for a long time, and the problem of many such players is cheaters. We want to keep the community, so fraudsters are our enemies. ”

Earlier it became known that the circulation of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds for PC and consoles exceeded 60 million copies. The mobile version of the “royal battle” has been downloaded over 600 million times, and it has brought the publisher more than $ 1.5 billion.
